I had something specific in mind for my wife to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary, and 1791 couldn't have made it easier. I told Designer Alice roughly what I was after and within a day I had a beautiful rendered image of the ring design sitting on my desktop that you could have sworn was a photo of the real thing. So from idea to reality in about 48 hours, not bad! We were easily able to make a couple of small design tweaks, and the result was stunning. Right through the process from design to the paperwork afterwards was a pleasure and I would highly recommend 1791 to anyone looking for value for money and an outstanding result. I know my wife loved it :)

My now fiance, surprised me with my beautiful engagement ring as my Christmas present, the morning of 25 December 2011. He proudly had researched rings, picked and ordered it, without a single soul knowing, except for my Dad on Christmas Eve, when my fiancée asked for his blessing. I have had so many comments on my ring since, particularly on the clarity and colour of the diamond. When valued by an independent jeweller, it was estimated to be remarkably higher than what was paid, turning out to be great value for money. When asked where he purchased my ring, my fiance proudly announces that he bought it online from 1791 Diamonds Ltd.

Of course, many relatives and friends have been quite sceptical of this, telling him that he took quite a risk in buying online. My fiancée always researches large purchases before making decisions, and definitely shops around for quality and price. He generally buys from the Internet and has it posted to us, but I have to admit, that even I was shocked that he did so for such an item as an engagement ring. Though, not one for meandering around shopping centres, or being hassled by shop assistants, he recounts that he feels he got better service from 1791 Diamonds, than any shop assistant could ever give.

When it came time to purchase our wedding rings, for our upcoming nuptials in October 2012, I began looking around the shops and trying on different rings, but found it quite challenging to find jewellers who stock platinum, to match my engagement ring. Of course, my fiancée stated that I should try 1791 Diamonds. Still a little concerned about the process, I jumped online to take a look. I was instantly impressed with 1791 Diamonds' website, and began looking at what they had to offer. I emailed to enquire about custom rings, and lets just say that from that point on, I was converted, and didnt look past what 1791 Diamonds were offering.

Their service has been outstanding, and we were promptly emailed pictures of designs and finishes for rings that we had in mind. We were a little indecisive in what we did and did not like, but they were always very patient and accommodating, and continued to assist us with our decision making process. When we did go ahead and pick our designs, and made payment, our rings were made and posted to us in a timely manner, and we were notified of updates along the way, right from production to shipping.

Unfortunately when we received the rings, they were slightly too big (our own fault, as we both discovered we are half sizes), although were delighted to hear that we had thirty days to return them to be re-sized free of charge. I decided that I wanted my engagement ring made half a size smaller also, and naturally became very concerned about posting it back to them. My hesitations were quickly alleviated by reassuring correspondence with 1791 Diamonds' staff. They took care of everything, and again we were kept up-to-date with their progress.

We now have all three rings back safely, and they fit perfectly. We primarily dealt with Erika, and also Ardouin, who were both fabulous, but we realise that there is a whole team who help the plan come together, and to them, we shall be eternally grateful. I can honestly say that they have been our best wedding supplier to deal with, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. In fact, my Dad has recently suggested an eternity ring for my Mums and his fortieth wedding anniversary later in the year (hes a little slow with these things), and I have recommended 1791 Diamonds to him. Again he is sceptical, but I have no doubt I can convince him otherwise. Their service has been second to none; not to mention the quality of their diamonds and jewellery. I can only hope that my fiancée revisits their website, for anniversary presents in years to come!
