Getting married is a big commitment. There is a lot to consider. The biggest concern for me was the engagement ring, I mean...you've gotta leave her a little breathless right? Well my fiance and I decided to design a ring together and with the help of 1791 we did just that. Even though my "wife to be" knew what the ring was going to look like I was still able to extract a "OMG" at the table of a local sea side restaurant after presenting her with the 1791 "Rock". She was blown away. 1791 created a ring that was everything we asked for.
I was a tad weary of buying a diamond ring online but the service and security that accompanied the transaction was very professional and also very personal. Twelve months after that "OMG" at the dinner table I am very happy to say that we ordered two more rings and we are now happily married.
Thank you so much 1791 from Jodi and Mitchell.

I had something specific in mind for my wife to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary, and 1791 couldn't have made it easier. I told Designer Alice roughly what I was after and within a day I had a beautiful rendered image of the ring design sitting on my desktop that you could have sworn was a photo of the real thing. So from idea to reality in about 48 hours, not bad! We were easily able to make a couple of small design tweaks, and the result was stunning. Right through the process from design to the paperwork afterwards was a pleasure and I would highly recommend 1791 to anyone looking for value for money and an outstanding result. I know my wife loved it :)
Pero Diamond Ring Review
A single beautiful solitaire diamond can make a stunning statement for an engagement ring; remember, though, that your choice of diamond need not be restricted to the traditional round brilliant. Pero from 1791 Diamonds offers a striking alternative with a lovely pear diamond.
The pear, with its elegant tear drop shape, is a brilliant cut diamond and is half oval and half marquise and therefore offers a fabulous display of fire and brilliance. All 1791 diamonds are of either Excellent or Very Good cut - the very top cut grades - so you can be assured that your diamond will not show signs of the "bow tie" effect which can occur in some elongated fancy shaped diamonds. This is a dark area in the shape of a bow tie that occurs when the angles of the diamond cut are not optimum.
Some of the world's most valuable diamonds have been cut into the pear shape and have been the choice of the rich and famous. The best known is probably the 69 carat Taylor-Burton pear shaped diamond given by Richard Burton to Elizabeth Taylor. The Pero is certainly a glamorous diamond engagement ring, but rest assured, you will do not need to pay millions for this gorgeous ring!
